Recap: As we're forging ahead, our sub-teams are all hard at work building incredible things. Mechanical has started prototyping the intake and a successful climber, as well as finished CAD for our cascade. Electrical has worked with mechanical to plan their layout in CAD. Apart from this, electrical has found time to organize and prepared their talons. Software has worked on the cascade and organized their code. They have also been working on vision and pid. Fabrication started machining the intake, climber, and cascade prototypes. They have also worked on a design system to cut aluminum tubing on the CNC. Business has been working to finalize awards. They have also been working on graphic designs for our t-shirts and capes.
This Thursday we also attended the North Broadway science night for the 6th year in a row. Here we spread the word of STEM and FIRST through demonstrations of our robot, videos and information to the students and parents. Informing over a 100 people and inspiring the young minds of today.
In addition our sponsors Gene Haas visited us on Wednesday and we gave them a proper tour of our work-space. On Saturday we hosted a team potluck in our room to take a small break during this intense build season and watched the inspirational movie "Spare Parts". Which is about a high school robotics team in Arizona overcoming many obstacles.
Another special thanks to Mrs.Allison, Mrs. Kamman and Mrs. Cordingley for providing food for us all week.
